WELCOME!
We are a diverse group of people planning to build Leidesdorff Village, a neighborhood of 36 families in Folsom, twenty miles east of Sacramento, California.  Our vision is to create an inclusive, earth-friendly community that fosters supportive relationships based on respect, cooperation, and fun.  We call ourselves both EcoHousing and CoHousing.

What is EcoHousing?  EcoHousing has many green features, including energy-efficient buildings, a small footprint, an edible landscape, organic gardens, and on-site drainage.

What is CoHousing?  Cohousing combines private homes with generous shared facilities, thus creating the feeling of a small village where neighbors know and care about each other.  Future residents actively participate in the design and management of their own neighborhood.  The Common House is a hub of social activity for the cohousing residents and is also available as a community center for neighborhood gatherings.
