Land contract signed:  In June 2006, we signed a contract to purchase 3.5 acres of beautiful land in Orangevale.  The site is within walking distance of schools, a bus stop, a grocery store, a fitness center, and a restaurant.  We are currently in the design phase, and we are accepting initial investments from future residents.  Projected home prices range from $340,000 for a 850 s.f., 2 bedroom / 1 bath Flat to $600,000 for a 1700 s.f., 4 bedroom / 3 bath Townhouse.  Construction should be complete in mid 2009.

What is Cohousing?  Cohousing is clustered housing with a strong emphasis on  shared amenities and creating an old-fashioned neighborhood.  Cohousing also offers value to the surrounding community because the Common House becomes quasi-civic space.  Future residents are involved in the design process.
